Art Projects

The kids and I love doing art projects. We can all sit together at the table and get creative!

We used orange and green footprints to make cute carrot gardens. We added some green tissue paper on the top (toes) for extra 3D effects:

We used all different kinds of paper shapes to create pictures. I pre cut several shapes in a variety of colors for the kids to use in their artwork. They liked using white crayons on the black paper. And the paper punch (star shape) was a big hit too. I let them create whatever they could think of but gave them a couple ideas before we got started (Maybe a house, or letters to spell a word, or create an under the sea scene, etc.) This is what they came up with:

I love the interpretative aspect of the second project. The first is great for 3D collage artwork! Wonderful work!

They really enjoyed the shapes project. We glued their work into their notebooks for safe keeping 🙂

One picture is a guy in his house eating pizza, and I’m told it’s very silly because there are two suns outside. The other picture is a turtle inside his home with one sun outside. 🙂
